• It's been a near-perfect opening 45 minutes for Barcelona, who head into the half-time break with a well-deserved 2-0 lead that, in truth, could have been more. The visitors have bossed the centre of the pitch, constantly outnumbering the City midfield and finding pockets of space. Messi has been superb, sprinting all around the edge of the hosts' penalty area, whilst Kompany and Demichelis have found Suarez's movement incredibly difficult to deal with. Manuel Pellegrini desperately needs to make plenty of changes if his side are going to have any hope of finding a way back into the game.
