  Another break from Montpellier comes down the left wing, but his cross to the back post fails to find Sanson. There was no one else up in support so the ball rolls out for a throw on the far side.

  Ibrahimovic receives the ball in space midway inside the MHSC half, and his attempt to find Maxwell out on the left ends up at the feet of Congre. The visitors are holding firm, and they will be delighted to get to the break with it all square.

  CHANCE! Lovely interlinking play at the top of the box as Matuidi feeds Ibrahimovic, who shields the ball from his marker and feeds Verratti. The Italian then sends a first-time pass to the feet of Cavani, but the striker's first touch is heavy and allows Kigali to claim it!

  The free kick is floated to the far post, where Congre nods it back across goal and into a swarm of bodies. Unfortunately for the visitors, all the shirts in there are blue and Thiago Silva nullifies the threat.

  Mounier shows good feet and agility to knock the ball past Thiago Silva, drawing a foul from the Brazilian who sends him down with a body check.

  The frustration is rising in the stands as Cavani feels he should have a free kick down near the corner on the left, but the referee isn't interested. The Uruguayan must not have been happy with being dispossessed by a pair of players with no one up in support!

  Chances are becoming fewer and further between, now, as les Parisiens look to monopolise possession and force Montpellier to sit deep and chase it across the pitch. They're remaining compact, though, and limiting the space for their opponents.

  Barrios receives the ball high up the pitch on the left. He attempts to cut inside Thiago Silva but his touch gets away from him, allowing the Brazilian to prod it away. That doesn't stop the striker launching himself in the air in a woeful attempt at diving, which the referee lets slide.

  Lucas has been quite impressive in the opening 30 minutes, and here he teases another cross into the box. Again none of his team-mates are able to connect with it, though, as the visitors hook it clear immediately.

  Montpellier’s most recent win at the Parc des Princes came back in May 2010, with a 3-1 victory. This PSG side will give them a tough afternoon, but they've offered a fairly good account of themselves so far.

  After an impressive spell when they began to ask questions of the PSG defence, Montpellier have again taken a back seat in this game. Blanc's men are looking increasingly menacing when they push forward and if they can just get that final ball right, they may soon break the deadlock.

  Lucas spins his marker on the halfway line and then races down the right wing, heading for the byline. Once there he sends a cutback into the middle, but it's too far behind Ibrahimovic and Matuidi cannot get to it before the covering MHSC midfielders.

  Kigali claims a cross from the right and then screams at his players to get forward. He rather lets himself down, though, as his kick flies straight out of play for a throw in for the hosts.

  Ibrahimovic and David Luiz stand over the ball in consultation before both taking a few steps back. Ibrahimovic is the man who takes it, and he tries to squeeze a shot beneath the wall. A deflection off a pair of feet among those attempting to block it saps the pace, and Kigali has a rather simple save to make down by the bottom corner.

  Free kick in a dangerous area for PSG now, as El Kaoutari fells Lucas 20 yards out in a right-of-centre position. The Brazilian was about to surge into the box from Ibrahimovic's cushion, but that challenge earns the centre-back a yellow card.

  MHSC are beginning to find their feet in this game, and Dabo finds Martin in space inside the box. He attempts to centre it for Barrios but the ball is cut out and les Parisiens come away with possession.

  GOOOOAAL! NO, IT'S RULED OUT! Barrios rolls a ball down the channel for Mounier and the attacking midfielder finds Sanson with his cutback. He acrobatically converts from eight yards out, but the goal is chalked off as the former Nice and Olympique Lyonnais man was adjudged offside!

  Montpellier were the last team other than PSG to lift the Ligue 1 title. Since winning the championship in 2012, though, they have finished ninth and 15th. This season they appear on course for another mid-table finish.

  Wide from Cavani! The Uruguayan spins his marker and is found on the right side of the box by Lucas. He attempts to roll a low shot into the far corner but he fails to get it on target, isntead sending it wide of the far upright.

  Ibrahimovic cushions a long ball down for Lucas, and the Brazilian looks to surge into the box with it at his feet. He is stopped in his tracks by his experienced compatriot, Hilton, who puts a good foot in to dispossess him. PSG come again, though, with their Swedish striker creating another opportunity by lifting a pass over the defence for Maxwell. His cross from the byline is cut out by El Kaoutari, though.

  A cross from the far side is not dealt with by the PSG defence, and Barrios challenges Maxwell for the second header. He is deemed to foul the left-back in his attempts, though, and the hosts are awarded a free kick inside their own box.

  Montpellier have every man back behind the ball, and they manage to force PSG to pass backwards. Under pressure from Barrios, Van der Wiel sends a poor ball back to Sirigu and the keeper cannot stop it from going behind for a corner.

The visitors have offered a slight threat on the break, but as of yet have been unable to find a route past Thiago Silva and David Luiz.
