120'Yellow Card Joel
-
118'WHAT A CHANCE FOR EVERTON! Lukaku latches on to Tomkins' botched clearance and then glides past the defender, holding him off as he charges into the area. The Belgian goes for goal but then inexplicably misses the target from about eight yards.
-
116'SO CLOSE FOR WEST HAM! Carroll rises highest to meet the corner and he produces a fine header, but it goes agonisingly wide of the top-right corner. Everton are hanging on!
-
115'And the pendulum swings back in favour of the home side. Nolan gets himself into the area and wins another corner for West Ham. Surely they can't make it two in as many minutes?
-
113'Assist James Tomkins
-
113'Goal Carlton Cole
GOAL!!! WEST HAM ARE LEVEL! Amalfitano's corner is hoisted to the back post and Tomkins nods it back across goal and into the danger area. Cole is on hand to prod in, making his substutition look something of a masterstroke! -
113'Positive play by Valencia as he marches down the left and tries to squeeze a cross in, only to see his delivery deflected behind by Stones. This is a good chance for the hosts.
-
111'SubstitutionJames CollinsCarlton Cole
-
111'West Ham have been very poor in this second period and Allardyce's response is to throw on Carlton Cole for Collins. Naturally.
-
110'After much deliberation, Oviedo finally takes the free-kick and blasts it into the two-man wall. West Ham are instantly on the attack themselves and Valencia tries his luck from at least 30 yards, but it goes just wide.
-
108'Excellent play by Mirallas again, this time on the right. He plays a one-two and then races into the edge of the area, before being blocked off by Tomkins. Everton want a penalty, but after consulting with his assistant, the referee awards a free-kick, which is a bad decision either way. The collision clearly occurred inside the area, but it was by no means a foul.
-
107'Everton are straight on to the attack in this second half of extra-time. Unsurprisingly it is Mirallas in the spotlight and he goes for goal from 25 yards, but his effort is deflected behind. The corner comes to nothing, though.
-
106'Here we go. Can West Ham get themselves level again? They have 15 minutes!
-
105' + 1'HALF-TIME!
-
105'There will be one minute added on at the end of this first period of extra-time.
-
103'Everton are in no hurry to chuck men forward needlessly at the moment. Lukaku finds himself in possession out on the left and then links with Mirallas and Oviedo without anyone delivering into the area.
-
101'West Ham continue their search for a goal. They've got plenty of ability out there and players capable of finding the net, but Martinez's men are looking very dangerous on the break, particularly with Mirallas.
-
99'West Ham are all over the place now. Mirallas has been absolutely sensational since coming on and he is at it again now. The Belgian, who joined in Lukaku's tribute to Junior Malanda upon scoring the most recent goal, charges into the West Ham half, skipping past four defenders en route to the penalty area. But Carroll, of all people, is their to produce a fine tackle.
-
97'Assist Kevin Mirallas
-
97'Goal Romelu Lukaku
-
97'GOAL!!! EVERTON TAKE THE LEAD! What a turnaround from the visitors! Mirallas does magnificently as he bursts into the left side of the area, holding off his marker and then plays a low pass into the goalmouth for Lukaku, who taps in from close range.
-
96'HUGE LET-OFF FOR WEST HAM! Naismith plays a clever pass into the area from the right for Mirallas, who swiftly cuts a low delivery into the danger zone for Lukaku. But the forward completely misses his kick six yards from goal and the hosts escape!
-
95'Carroll isn't impressed now. The big forward tries to get on the end of a curling cross courtesy of Cresswell, but he tangles with Baines and is then penalised, much to the bemusement of West Ham.
-
93'WEST HAM CHANCE! Noble is invited forward towards the area and he produces a curling effort, which Robles struggles with. The goalkeeper parries it away with his feet and knocks it straight to Carroll. Luckily for Everton, though, the England forward is penalised for handball.
-
91'Here we go for extra-time.
-
90' + 4'END OF REGULATION TIME! We will have extra-time here.
-
90' + 2'It's all West Ham at the moment as they push for a last-gasp winner. Will they succeed or can Everton hold on to force extra-time?
-
90' + 1'There will be a minimum of four minutes added on here.
-
89'ROBLES AGAIN! West Ham are constantly pumping balls into the area, with Everton really struggling. Carroll and Nolan both have efforts blocked, and then the latter goes for an audacious over-head attempt, with the Spanish goalkeeper tipping it over the bar in spectacular fashion.
-
88'ROBLES REACTS! Amalfitano fires the free-kick into the danger area and he tries to emulate Mirallas by beating the goalkeeper at the near post, but the Everton keeper does well to claw it away. Excellent pressure from West Ham.
-
87'WEST HAM PENALTY CLAIMS REJECTED! Valencia does very well down the left and chucks a cross into the danger area. Stones blocks it, but with his right arm. The hosts are adamant that they should have a spot-kick, with the Everton man appearing to be inside the area. But they are only given a free-kick.
-
86'No, they can't create anything from it. Cresswell goes direct for goal from the free-kick and it is blazed high and wide.
-
85'Yellow Card Gareth Barry
-
85'Barry goes into the referee's book now as he catches Carroll late about 30 yards from the Everton goal. This is a good position for the home side now, can they make the most of it?
-
84'Everton are certainly buoyant now. Martinez's men are pouring forward from the back and piling men into the West Ham half. Can they sneak a late winner, or will they find themselves punished for being so open?
-
82'Goal Kevin Mirallas
GOAL!!! EVERTON ARE LEVEL! Mirallas steps up to the free-kick near the left angle of the West Ham area and curls a delightful effort inside the near post, making the most of Adrian's questionable positioning. -
81'End-to-end stuff here at the moment. Everton are straight back down the other end and they win themselves a free-kick just to the left of the area, with Collins culpable on this occasion.
-
80'A fine West Ham counter leads to a corner for the hosts, as Amalfitano plays a pass into the area for Valencia and Coleman covers, blocking his eventual effort out and behind. From the resulting set-piece, Collins sees a powerful header tipped over brilliantly by Robles.
-
79'VITAL BLOCK BY TOMKINS! Collins hesitates with a long ball and Lukaku makes the most of his error, stealing possession just outside the area. He gets into the left side of the box and beats the Welshman far too easily, before crossing low into the centre. Mirallas looks destined for an easy finish, but Tomkins crucially intervenes.
-
78'CHANCE FOR THE HAMMERS! Cresswell has enjoyed another good game today and he is at the centre of things again, as he crosses from the left. Carroll gets a header away ahead of Jegielka, but his effort goes just over.
-
77'Yellow Card Kevin Mirallas
-
76'Everton are running out of time and they don't really appear to be getting any closer to finding the net. West Ham have been excellent in virtually every area so far and they continue to push for a second.
-
74'A good Everton spell ultimately ends in disappointment. Naismith does well to bring down a clever pass from Barry and he appears to get beyond Cresswell. But the left-back recovers well and forces the Scotland international out of play. Goal-kick for the Hammers.
-
72'Yellow Card Kevin Nolan
-
72'Nolan is the latest player to find his name go into the referee's book. The midfielder can have no complaints as he goes in hard and late on Jagielka, getting nowhere near the ball.
-
70'Excellent goalkeeping by Robles, and not for the first time today. The Spaniard comes out of his goal to deal with a lofted pass and he clatters through both Stones and Carroll on his way to punching clear.
-
69'SubstitutionMatt JarvisMorgan Amalfitano
-
69'And now it is West Ham's turn. Jarvis heads for the bench, with Amalfitano on in his place.
-
68'Everton changes now. Mirallas and Oviedo are on, with besic and Barkley making way, somewhat surprisingly.
-
67'SubstitutionMuhamed BesicKevin Mirallas
-
67'SubstitutionRoss BarkleyBryan Oviedo
-
67'NEARLY A SECOND! Cresswell comes forward from left-back and is invited all the way up to the Everton area. Sensing the away side aren't going to close him down, the full-back tries his luck and sees an effort go just wide of the right-hand post.
-
66'Lovely play by Valencia. The home side try to catch Everton on the break and the Ecuadorian cuts inside Jagielka brilliantly. He then tries to pick out the run of Carroll with a reverse pass, only for Stones to make the interception.
-
65'Lukaku comes very deep once again and picks up possession. He turns and begins to head towards the hosts' area before being tripped by Carroll, who pleads his innocence to little effect.
-
64'There is still plenty in this, however. Everton are seeing enough of the ball to remain a danger, while they still have the likes of Lukaku and Barkley on the pitch.
-
62'West Ham are now starting to sit very deep, allowing Everton lots of possession, with only Carroll not behind the ball. Allardyce's gameplan seems rather obvious now, with the hosts looking threatening on the break.
-
61'SubstitutionAlex SongKevin Nolan
-
60'Baines is down in some pain now. Carroll looked to get on the end of a lofted ball and he ultimately crashed into the left-back leading with his forearm. The Everton man certainly took a heavy one to the face, but he should be fine to continue.
-
58'West Ham almost take immediate advantage of their numerical advantage! Song plays a fine pass into the penalty area and completely deceives the Everton defence. Collins can't react quick enough and Downing can't keep it in.
-
57'RED CARD! McGeady clumsily slides in on Noble and catches the midfielder a little late. The Irishman has already been booked and a look of inevitability covers his face as the referee holds aloft his second yellow.
-
56'Yellow/Red Aiden McGeady
-
56'Good effort by Lukaku, who has had few sights of goal so far today. The Belgian drops deep to pick up possession and then tries his luck from distance. Adrian gets his body behind it and holds on to the ball.
-
55'Valencia is now back on the pitch and should be able to continue. Following the injury to Sakho, Allardyce would not want to be without the Ecuadorian too.
-
53'But this is a little concerning now for Allardyce. The goal-scorer is now on the ground in pain after colliding with Coleman out wide. He does appear to be struggling at the moment.
-
51'Assist Andy Carroll
-
51'Goal Enner Valencia
GOAL!!! WEST HAM HAVE THE LEAD! Just a few moments ago Everton were causing problems as Barkley and Lukaku linked up, but the hosts get straight down the other end and break the deadlock. Carroll does well to patiently pick his pass and slide the ball into the area for Valencia. He holds off Stones and then fires across Robles and into the bottom-left corner. -
50'WEST HAM GO CLOSE! That wasn't far off for the hosts there. The corner is floated into the area and the ball drops kindly for Collins, who turns and then blazes over from 12 yards.
-
49'West Ham straight back on the front foot, though. Valencia bursts down the left flank and manages to get away from Stones before trying to cross. The England defender recovers well, though, and concedes a corner.
-
48'Positive start from Everton. Barkley comes deep, turns and then plays a one-two with Lukaku on the edge of the area. The England man marches into the area, but the space never opens up enough for a shot and he eventually runs the ball straight out of play.
-
46'Here we go for the second half, West Ham getting the action back underway.
-
West Ham 0-0 Everton: The referee ends a fairly entertaining first half at Upton Park, with neither side ultimately able to break the deadlock. Both team has created a couple of chances, though most of this match has been battled out in the midfield, while counterattacks have looked the most likely way through for both sets of players.
-
45' + 1'HALF-TIME!
-
45'There will be a minimum of one minute added on here.
-
44'Brilliant move from Everton as Lukaku plays a fine lofted pass into the final third for Naismith. The Scot then slips the ball into the area first-time after spotting the run of McGeady, who can only poke wide before being flagged offside.
-
42'Elsewhere, Bristol City have taken the lead against Doncaster in their replay. The winner of that clash meets whoever emerges triumphant out of Everton and West Ham.
-
41'Noble floats his delivery in the danger area and Tomkins manages to get his head on it, but his effort goes well wide and never looked likely of causing any problems for Robles.
-
40'Yellow Card Aiden McGeady
-
40'Good play by Jarvis as he lures McGeady in and then darts past him down the left flank. The Irishman goes into the book as a result and West Ham have a free-kick out wide.
-
38'Everton's midfield are generally looking more impressive on the ball than their counterparts in the West Ham team, though there has been little cutting edge from Barkley and Co. Lukaku hasn't really had a chance to work with yet.
-
36'Fine goalkeeping from Robles. The young Spaniard has looked commanding so far today and once again he rises highest and clutches the West Ham corner delivery, taking the sting out of the attack.
-
35'EXCELLENT WEST HAM COUNTER! The visitors are caught on the break and Downing gives Baines plenty to think about. He runs at the left-back and then plays a clever pass back towards the edge of the area for Song, who arrives late. The Cameroonian meets it with a ferocious half-volley which strikes Valencia and he then wins a corner.
-
33'The match seems to have settled down a bit following a rather frantic start at Upton Park. West Ham are looking a little tighter at the back, though Everton continue to appear more purposeful on the ball.
-
31'JUST WIDE! Downing has been virtually anonymous in the opening 30 minutes, but he finally comes to life in a central area as he sends a low right-footed effort towards goal. It skims along the floor and narrowly misses the bottom-left corner.
-
29'West Ham make the most of a poor touch from Lukaku when an Everton attack seemed to be building. Jenkinson brings the ball forward and does well to find the pass in behind Baines for Jarvis. But the move ultimately loses all momentum, much to the disgust of a rather vocal Allardyce in the hosts' technical area.
-
27'Jarvis is another of the West Ham attackers who has done little so far today. On this occasion he does find himself on the ball and he skips into the final third, before delivering into the danger area. Robles plucks it out of the air in commanding fashion, though.
-
25'Song has been quiet so far, but he almost unlocks the Everton defence with an outside-of-the-boot pass searching for Cresswell. Coleman covers and sweeps up, but the West Ham full-back robs him of the ball. His touch is heavy, however, and the visitors ultimately escape with a goal-kick.
-
23'COLLINS TO THE RESCUE! Jenkinson gets caught on the ball right on the edge of his own area, with Lukaku and Naismith lurking. Everton look set to test Adrian in the hosts' net, but the Welsh centre-back makes a crucial intervention.
-
21'Well, that was certainly better than West Ham's previous set-piece. The free-kick was hoisted over to the back post and subsequently headed back across goal. West Ham get the ball away, but Barkley smashes it back into the danger area, with Carroll making a crucial block.
-
20'Everton back on the attack now and they get themselves a free-kick of their own after Valencia caught Besic with a high boot. What can they muster here?
-
19'What a waste that was. West Ham play the free-kick short and Valencia gets control of the ball out on the left, but his attempted cross is dreadful and goes straight over the goal.
-
18'Free-kick for the hosts in a good, advanced position now for West Ham after the charging Noble found himself tripped by McGeady. The Irishman escapes a yellow card, but Everton could yet find themseles punished as all the big men are forward.
-
17'West Ham have yet to really get the best from Carroll so far in this. The England international is in fine form currently, but he has been quiet until now. Surely that won't last long?
-
15'Until then, Everton had been the better side so far. But that moment of panic proved Martinez's men are by no means convincing at the back. West Ham will no doubt be encouraged by that.
-
13'EVERTON ESCAPE! John Stones is caught in possession just outside the Everton area and Valencia pounces. The Ecuadorian glides past Jagielka like he wasn't even there, before firing at Robles. The ball loops up and Carroll gets on the end of it, but he heads against the post. The England forward is ultimately flagged offside, but that was a big let-off for Everton nonetheless.
-
11'The second corner isn't very good, though. West Ham clear quickly and try to spring a counter, but the move comes to an end as Valencia is caught by a high foot courtesy of Besic.
-
10'Good pressure for the visitors. West Ham initially clear a corner as far as Barkley, who swiftly loses his marker and then fires goalwards from the edge of the box. His effort appears to hit at least one defender before going behind. Another corner for Everton.
-
9'Excellent interchange between Naismith and Barkley, with the latter making the most of a give-and-go and marching towards the West Ham area. He shapes to shoot, but Tomkins does brilliantly to get a foot on the ball and halt his rampage.
-
8'McGeady has started this match looking very sharp. The Ireland international gets into the right side of the area and manages to dig a clever cross into the danger area after jinking to the side of Cresswell. Collins is on hand to nod away, however.
-
6'Everton are straight back on the attack, though. Barkley slides McGeady in down the right and he cuts a low delivery back towards the penalty area for the late arrival of Naismith, but the Scot misses it and West Ham take possession away. Lovely flow to these opening exchanges.
-
5'Fine move by West Ham this time. Cresswell gets forward to great effect down the left and he latches on to a throughball, before crossing into the centre. His delivery is inviting, but Jagielka does well to clear.
-
3'Positive start by the visitors. They are knocking the ball around confidently and they try to make ground up the right flank. McGeady combines well with Lukaku and then Barkley get down the outside, skipping past Tomkins at the same time. The West Ham defender does well, though, nudging the England international out of play.
-
1'Off we go! Everton get us started.
it is really a big game
