The visitors are unable to fully clear the danger, allowing Dzeko to fire a shot from 25 yards out that seems to hit Pique on the arm. The hosts appeal for a penalty, but the referee shakes his head and waves play on

  Milner is caught in possession in the middle of the pitch, allowing Iniesta to fire a quick lofted pass towards Suarez. It's slightly overhit, however, and can only find Hart.

  GOAL! It's 2-0 to Barcelona! The visitors hold on to possession wonderfully well, with Messi skipping past a plethora of blue shirts before teeing up Alba on the left wing. The defender, who is completely unmarked, looks up and sends a great low cross into the path of Suarez, who easily pokes the ball past Hart to double the Spanish side's lead.

  City do well to patiently push forward down the left wing before Silva fires a low cross off Alves and out for a corner. However, the Spaniard's cross from the resulting set-piece is poor, and Suarez is easily able to head it away from danger.

  Fantastic save by Hart! Neymar sprints down the left flank before sending a wonderful through-ball that beats the City back four with ease. It flies past the hosts' back line before meeting Suarez, but the Uruguayan's low shot is stopped brilliantly by the English goalkeeper.

  Barcelona embark on a run of two minutes' worth of possession before Alves quickly skips past Silva and unleashes a cross towards Rakitic. It meets the Croatian on the edge of the City penalty area but he's slightly offside, bringing an impressive string of passes to a disappointing end.

  GOAL! Barcelona have taken the lead! Messi picks up the ball on the right flank and sends a brilliant cross towards the near post where it finds Suarez. The Uruguayan's header ricochets off Kompany before falling at his feet, allowing him to fire a wonderful low shot past Hart and into the bottom left-hand corner of the net.

  Good defending by City forces Alves into firing a lofted pass down the right flank towards Rakitic, but Clichy does well to out-muscle the Croatian and shepherd the ball out of play near the corner flag.

  Fernando is caught in possession in the middle of the pitch by Rakitic, allowing Suarez to quickly break towards the City penalty area. He twists and chips a cross back towards the Croatian, but it's cut out by Demichelis. He's only able to send it as far as the aforementioned Uruguayan, however, who then unleashes a quick volley that flies just wide of the near post.

  Fantastic play by Neymar! The Brazilian skips past Zabaleta on the edge of the box before teeing up Messi with a deft pass, but the Argentine's close-range shot is blocked well by Demichelis, who throws his whole body in the way of the strike.

  Great play by City! Kompany puts Neymar under an incredible amount of pressure, chasing down the Brazilian before dispossessing him and quickly playing the ball towards Aguero. The striker skips past one player before forcing Mascherano into bringing him down with a clumsy challenge just outside of the penalty area, resulting in a free kick in a very dangerous position.

  City kick-start another attempted attacking move, and this time Milner lifts a lovely pass into the feet of Dzeko from just inside the hosts' half of the pitch. The striker brings the ball down on the edge of the penalty area before firing a volley that is blocked well by Pique.

  A poor pass from Rakitic gifts possession to Dzeko, who then pushes forward before being brought down by Mascherano near the halfway line. City take the free kick short but are forced to play the ball back to Hart after good pressure from Barcelona.
