Despite spending the majority of the half on the back foot, Paul Lambert's men have shown great strength and determination when defending, constantly frustrating Van Persie and Falcao and keeping Rooney out of the game as much as possible. Valencia and Young have found some joy down the wings but, so far, they have been unable to make it count, with few of their attempted crosses causing the hosts' defence too many problems.
