- Kalinski blasts over from 20 yards out! The midfielder is fortunate enough to see a loose ball bounce out kindly to him on the edge of the penalty area, but his dipping half volley flashes above the crossbar! Casillas was worried there!
-
51'Assist Isco
-
51'Goal Gareth Bale
GOOOOOOOOOOOAL! BALE MAKES IT 2-0! Moments after testing the goalkeeper with a tame, looping header, the Wales international makes no mistake! After being found inside the box, the winger places an effort straight at the goalkeeper, but Torrico fumbles it and the ball slips under his body and into the net! -
49'Buffarini is robbed of the ball by James, before Benzema and Cristiano combine with a one-two. The Portugal international tries to get the ball out of his feet to release a strike, but can only slice the ball away from the target!
47'San Lorenzo have a difficult 45 minutes ahead of them, that's for sure. Should the Argentine side push forward in search of an equaliser, Real Madrid are arguably the best counter-attacking team in the world. Leaving a bit more space in behind to exploit will only end in one way - but they need to restore parity. A couple of corners come to nothing for them. -
46'We are back underway in Marrakech! Real Madrid look to be on course to take the Club World Cup title, but anything can happen yet! Cauteruccio has been the only bright spark for San Lorenzo in attack, but Bauza's men still have 45 minutes to make a comeback.
-
HALF TIME! We're halfway there in the Club World Cup final, with Real Madrid leading 1-0 against San Lorenzo in Morocco, courtesy of a headed goal from Sergio Ramos. The Spanish giants have seen more of the ball and created more chances, but their adversaries are holding firm in defence. Be sure to rejoin us in ten minutes for the second-half action!
-
45' + 1'Cristiano receives the ball on the edge of the penalty area, before turning and shooting! It cannons off the outstretched arm of Kannemann, but neither the referee nor the linesman spots it! The Portuguese striker cannot believe his luck.
-
45'There are two minutes of first-half stoppage time.
-
44'SubstitutionMarceloFabio Coentrao
-
44'Ramos is picked out on the run at the back post, from a free kick delivery, but the goalscorer can only skew a half-volleyed attempt directly at Torrico! He is determined to win tonight, this is the only major final left for the Spaniard to win while at Real Madrid.
-
43'Bale is keen to keep his teammates focused, with the former Tottenham Hotspur winger going over to both Ramos and Carvajal to ensure that the booked defenders don't do anything they may regret. Marcelo then appears to pull something, leading to Coentrao being readied on the sideline for a change.
-
41'Less than five minutes remain until the break, with the referee having to get heavily involved once again. Carvajal and Barrientos both collide, with both players on yellow cards, but the referee decides to keep his book in his pocket. Veron is found at the back post moments later, but the Argentine striker can only loop a tame effort goalward that is easily dealt with.
-
39'Finally, Real Madrid have the breakthrough goal they were looking for, which should lead to San Lorenzo coming out of their shell slightly and leaving more space to exploit. The Argentine outfit haven't been too bad defensively, but will have to offer something at the other end of the pitch at some point now.
-
37'Assist Toni Kroos
-
37'Goal Sergio Ramos
GOOOOOOOOAL! SERGIO RAMOS GIVES REAL MADRID THE LEAD! Kroos whips in an inviting set piece delivery from the left-hand side, which Ramos meets with a towering header and sends into the back of the net beyond the helpless goalkeeper! -
36'Real Madrid attack at real pace, with the ball worked out to Bale on the left-hand side. Instead of cutting back a cross, the Welshman forces Torrico into a save at his near post, with Cristiano throwing up his hands in disgust. They have a corner, at least.
-
35'Mercier scrambles away desperately, after Marcelo centres a cross with a mishit half volley. The Argentine side have almost a six-man defence at the moment, with their defensive midfielder sitting back and Mas tucking in as a wing-back.
-
33'Kalinski breaks to the right byline, but loses his footing as he attempts to cross, leading to a Real Madrid goal kick. The opening half an hour haven't been as one-sided as Ancelotti may have hoped for, with his BBC forward line failing to tear apart what is a very narrow and compact San Lorenzo defence.
-
31'Carvajal earns a deserved yellow card, for a poorly timely tackle on Mas. The Spaniard kicks through his man, catching the left-back on the shin. San Lorenzo have a free kick in an advanced area as a result, but it is easily headed away.
-
30'Yellow Card Daniel Carvajal
-
29'Torrico has to make another save! Marcelo cuts inside from the left and unleashes a curling right-footed effort, which the goalkeeper has to athletically rise to claim! The Argentine goalkeeper hasn't been asked to do anything other than make routine interventions thus far.
-
28'Benzema unleashes a shot from the edge of the penalty area, but directs the ball straight at Torrico! The goalkeeper spills at the first attempt, before running off his line to smother the rebound ahead of Cristiano.
-
27'San Lorenzo are looking fairly positive in possession, but Pepe has proven to thwart any of their forays forward. Cauteruccio doesn't quite have the turn of pace to get in behind the Portugal international, but Real Madrid's dominance of the early minutes has definitely slipped.
-
25'Cauteruccio tries to outmuscle Ramos, before driving towards Pepe to take on the last man. The Uruguayan forward bustled into the back of his marker, leaving the referee with little choice but to pull back play. He's proving to be a real handful early on!
-
23'There are plenty of fouls and yellow cards early on, with San Lorenzo clearly adopting the underdog mentality of trying to ruffle their opponents' feathers. The flow of the game has been fractured somewhat, due to the stop-start nature of the past ten minutes.
-
22'Yellow Card Sergio Ramos
-
21'Plenty of free kicks are being won by the likes of Cristiano and Bale around the penalty area, giving Real Madrid plenty of opportunities to load the penalty area with white shirts. Minutes after getting his first yellow card, Barrientos commits another foul, the Argentine will have to watch his step.
-
19'Kroos whips in the set piece from the right-hand side, which Ramos gets glancing contact with! The Spain international is unable to meet the ball well, however, meaning that Torrico remains relatively untested in the San Lorenzo net.
-
18'After taking a long while to sort out the wall and silence dissidents, the referee allows for the resulting free kick to be taken. Cristiano tries to dip the ball over the right-hand side of the wall, but Ortigoza rises well to head behind for a corner.
-
16'Yellow Card Pablo Barrientos
-
16'The opening quarter of an hour has passed without too many clear cut chances, with the likes of Cristiano, Benzema and Bale sparingly involved. The referee awards a free kick for a foul on the Welshman, after he was blocked off by Yepes, but San Lorenzo's players surround the official in protest. Regardless, he reaches for his pocket to award Barrientos a card - probably for dissent.
-
14'A good ball from the left-hand side flashes across the back of the San Lorenzo defence, but Bale is caught slightly offside while attempting to make contact with the delivery. Real Madrid continue to see the better of the offensive play, with Pepe easily able to deal with whatever the opposition throws forward.
-
12'Yellow Card Néstor Ezequiel Ortigoza
-
12'Ortigoza picks up a yellow card for clipping Ramos slightly late, but the Paraguay international rightfully feels slightly hard done to. Carvajal breaks down the right and gets inside Mas, but Yepes covers across to put the ball behind for a corner.
-
11'Carvajal clips a delivery in towards the back post, but it sails straight out of play. Despite having the early dominance, los Blancos have been unable to pick out a final ball - although Benzema should have given the La Liga outfit the lead within the first few minutes.
-
9'Buffarini doesn't allow Cristiano to turn, before robbing the ball and trying to spark an attack down the right-hand side. Pepe comes across well to shield the ball out of play for a Real Madrid throw in. Casillas has had nothing to do thus far, with the ball yet to pass into his penalty area.
-
7'Benzema is found racing down the right-hand side by a good diagonal ball from Ramos, but Torrico comes off his line brilliantly to smother at the feet of the Frenchman. San Lorenzo have been pegged back in their own half for nearly the entirety of this contest so far.
-
6'Isco clips a ball in behind Mas for Carvajal to chase, but the Spanish right-back is penalised for bustling the San Lorenzo defender to the ground. Real Madrid are in total control from the start, with their full-backs pushing right on to give the 4-3-3 plenty of width in midfield.
-
5'Cristiano is brought down 35 yards from goal, with the former Manchester United forward dusting himself down before standing over the dead ball. It dips towards goal, but Torrico is able to get his body behind it and pounce on the bouncing ball.
-
3'Cauteruccio is already warned by the referee, as the San Lorenzo striker hacks at Kroos' ankles after being beaten by the former Bayern midfielder. Real Madrid are leading the charge from the off and retaining possession, while Bauza's side sit back and absorb the early pressure.
-
2'Benzema misses a great chance! Cristiano is found out on the left-hand side by Kroos, before the Portugal international cuts a cross along the six-yard line for the France international to attack. Instead, the former Lyon man's boot gets caught behind him, leading to the delivery flashing past without any contact! All he had to do was tap the ball home!
-
1'We are underway in the first half in Marrakech! Real Madrid are wearing their customary all white kit, while San Lorenzo line up in red and blue. There are plenty of fans of the Argentine club here tonight, they should provide a great atmosphere
