  Sessegnon almost carved an opening for the visitors as he ran at Hill but his pass was just behind Ideye. Vargas went up the other end and picked out Austin with a long pass. The striker took it on his chest and tried to feed Zamora but Lescott was able to clear.

• This is much better from West Brom now who are encamped in front of Villa's goal. They still are not getting real chances on target but they're keeping Guzan busy as he swarms around to collect passes and mis-hits.
• VARELA OVER THE BAR! He gets the ball just outside the box after none of his teammates could get on the end of Wisdom's cross. His rifle of a shot sails just too high!
• Berarinho is finally about to warm up for his side, with West Brom working down the left flank now as Cissokho smartly gets between Sessegnon and the ball to clear for a throw-in. It's been a busy night for the former Valencia man.
• HUTTON BLOCKS A SHOT IN THE BOX! Varela contorted his body to get on the end of a cross and send his effort towards goal, but the defender gets in his way to knock it out for a corner!
• The ball is comfortably in Guzan's hands now after a deflection in the box. West Brom aren't really applying the pressure like they'd like to be now and Irvine may want to think about making a substitution to let his side take control of this match.
• As for Villa, they are by no means out of this and Lambert may want to see if his side can sneak through with a point or maybe even snatch a win under the unlikeliest of circumstances
